Flava Foundation
(Beginners to Advanced)

The importance of breakin’ aesthetics varies depending on mentality, but one thing remains constant and undeniable, the “Flava Foundation”. Join FrostFlow for a unique class of technique, expression & mentality exploration. Using “Breakin’” drills, discussions, custom theory and experimentation, Frost aims to open pathways of style and help you to manifest your own Flava Foundation”.

Summit Rock (Beginners to Advanced)

“Summit Rock” in an exclusive dance workshop emphasizing “Top Rock” foundations as the original Hip-Hop dance and catalyst for “BBoying” The Summit Rock centralizes concepts of musicality, themes, form and aesthetics. Students are engaged through “ciphers”, original grooves and methods to adopt and powerfully presentable Top Rock style, the base pillar for most other “Urban street dance” styles.

“Hidden Language” (Beginners to Advanced)

A Journey of exploration in syllabic visual communication. This all-level workshop will emphasize understanding origin, intention and purpose in your breakin’ movement and approach. “Hidden Language” comes with a very unique process of creation that will have every participant walk away with original material, communal and self-awareness as inspiration for years to come! In the same vein of the world renown “Flava Foundation” workshop, FrostFlow returns with another chapter of innovative ideas, methods and tools to support the transcending your personal and community style growth to another level. “Hidden Language” is a milestone experience that will change the way you view your voice within a 45 year conversation of Hip-Hop history.

Hip-Hop for Social Change (Civic Engagement)

Movement created either socially or artistically must first start with an “idea inspired for expression acquired”. The challenge we as youth face in society rests on the lack of understanding our Power, Identity and Community. Hip-Hop is a universal medium and tool that allows for recognizing these dynamics and how artists can apply them selves not only has creators, but as human beings with an edge of creativity. Join nationally renowned Community Worker, Performer and Hip-Hop advocate, Marcelino DaCosta aka FrostFlow on an interactive journey that will inspire your creativity for a lifetime.


Lead-Our-Ship
(Community Development)

The “Lead-Our- Ship” presentation led by internationally renowned professional Dancer & Artist Educator Marcelino “Frost” DaCosta (Ground illusionz / 20th Century B-Boys & STORYTiME.  This unique workshop & discussion session is directed to engage, educate & empower leaders toward understanding internal and external challenges of living as a dance artist practitioner.  Frost will share real world experience of refining leadership skills,  understanding self-concepts, community connectivity, resiliency,  positioning, intention & purpose. The theme of “Lead-Our- Ship” refers to a re-negotiation of what it truly means to be a leader and make well-rounded choices toward building inspiring ideas with others and yourself. Join “Frost” for an unforgettable experience to Lead-Our- Ship for a lifetime.
